Hungarian thermal spas where you can welcome the New Year
As the year draws to a close, several thermal spas across the country are gearing up for a unique and memorable celebration. These 8 spas offer extended opening hours coupled with a diverse range of activities.
Night spa parties
The tradition of welcoming the New Year with a night dip has become a staple in many spas. As highlighted by Termál Online, it’s advisable to secure your tickets in advance to avoid missing out on the festivities. Budapest’s thermal spas once celebrated the city’s birthday with a special offer of 150 forint tickets, providing a brief and affordable escape. However, this budget-friendly opportunity has concluded, and standard ticket prices have resumed. Though tickets may not be as cheap as they were during the birthday celebration, the experiences offered by the spas are undoubtedly worth the investment. From live music to dinner, these thermal spas are the perfect destinations for those seeking a unique way to welcome the New Year. I will never go back to Aquaworld Budapest after the horrific death of a young boy who was sucked into the pumping system after an access cover he was standing on at the surfing ride collapsed. I was there with my family days before his death standing in the same area. His body went through the turbines.
