Hungary expected to sign agreement on EU funds in a month
Tibor Navracsics, the regional development minister, told a conference on Tuesday that he trusted the government, before the end of next month, would be able to reach a definite agreement with the European Commission to unfreeze Hungary’s funds.
He told the conference organised by Portfolio.hu that the next and final round of talks on topics related to unblocking the funding would start on Thursday.
“If I want to be brief, I will say that I will know more after Thursday, when I will go to Brussels to review the state of play,” the minister said.
Navracsics said the goal was that as soon as talks are completed, EU funding of the projects could start immediately.
