Hungary’s government reveals one of the nation’s biggest strengths

Vocational training has become one of Hungary’s greatest strengths, providing not only work but also dignity, security and a future, the minister for culture and innovation said at the national vocational school year opening ceremony in Miskolc, in north-eastern Hungary, on Friday.
Vocational training “is a force that sustains and lifts not only young people and families, but the entire nation”, Balázs Hankó said at the Miskolc Vocational Centre Bertalan Szemere Technical School.
This, Hanko said, required motivated students, adding that “contrary to popular belief, this is a given, since six out of ten students choose to go into vocational training after finishing elementary school.”
This year, 44,000 students will be starting vocational training in Hungary, bringing the total number of students attending vocational schools close to 300,000, the minister said.
