Hungary holds its own national stage at The World Children’s Winners Games
Today, Kiskörös was the first city in central Europe to take the national stage of sports competitions for children who won the battle against cancer.
On Friday, the national stage of The X Children’s Winners Games began. The picturesque city of Kiskörös hosted 67 participants in the national stage aged from 7 to 16 years from different parts of Hungary. The program includes athletics (60m run), shooting, table tennis, swimming, futsal and chess. Sports festival will be held on the territory of the Central School from 5 to 7 April.
After the tournament in Hungary, the competition will be taken by Bulgaria, Belarus and the cities of Russia.
On June 1, the series of national and regional stages will be closed. 500 children from 35 regions of Russia and 14 countries of the world will arrive in Moscow to participate in the final stage. The X World Children’s Winners’ Games will be held in the sports complex CSKA from July 3 to July 7, 2019.
The Hungarian national team participates in the project since its inception in 2010.
The Organizing Committee of ANO (Autonomous nonprofit organization) «The World Children’s Winners Games» coordinates and organizes the Games. This unique rehabilitation project was created by volunteers under the auspices of the Russian charity foundation «Podari Zhizn», it became a festivity for young athletes from around the world. Every year The Winners’ Games welcomes thousands of children and teenagers, as well as their families, volunteers, physicians, and everyone who helps in the long journey from illness to recovery. The national stage in Hungary is held by the charity Foundation «Together for children with leukemia» (Hungary).
