Hungary is a good place to invest, says American-Hungarian Business Council head
Budapest, May 22 (MTI) – American investors think the environment for doing business in Hungary is good, the chairman of the American-Hungarian Business Council said in daily Magyar HÃrlap on Saturday.
Almost 800 US businesses have invested in Hungary, Eric Stewart told the paper. It’s important for Hungary to create opportunities for foreign companies to invest in the country, he added.
He said a predictable environment, not the tax system, is the most important factor for investors.Speaking about the Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership (TTIP), a free trade agreement being negotiated between the United States and the European Union, Stewart said every trade agreement has winners and losers, but the point is to have more winners than losers.
The American-Hungarian Business Council will hold its inaugural meeting in Budapest in July.
