Hungary launching 200 million euros tied aid in Chad
Hungary and Chad have signed an agreement on a 200 million euros of tied aid which will benefit domestic companies and Africans, Péter Szijjártó, the minister of foreign affairs and trade said in New York on Monday.
Accordingly, Hungarian companies will receive orders and work on strengthening Chad’s food industry, developing its water supply and its education sector, as well as aiding digitalisation efforts, the minister noted on Facebook.
Illegal migration to the EU can only be stopped through cooperation with the Sahel region, he said, adding that Chad played a stabilising role “in this critical region of Africa”.
As we wrote a few weeks ago, PM Orbán meets Chad president in Budapest.

Is this where the money is going that Fidesz just announced in budget cuts to health care, education, and a long list of public works in Hungary? Hungarians can’t feed themselves and Orban spends the money of Hungarians abroad like a drunken sailor.
