Hungary national stand wins award at ITB Berlin travel trade show
Budapest, March 12 (MTI) – The Hungarian national stand at the ITB Berlin travel trade show has taken the top prize for European exhibitor.
The trade show jury praised the stand’s innovative and interactive solutions, such as using a 360-degree screening room and virtual reality headsets.
The stand was the first product of a young team of staff at the Hungarian Tourism Agency, Nóra Naszvádi, who heads the agency’s department for trade fairs and events, said after the presentation of the prize.
Turkey’s stand was runner-up among the 86 contenders in the European category. Austria’s was in third place.
There were almost 1,100 stands from 184 countries at this year’s ITB Berlin. The four-day fair is expected to draw 180,000 visitors by the time it winds up on Sunday.
