Starting Monday, Hungary will enter one of the hottest periods of the summer. According to HungaroMet’s forecast, high temperatures are expected to range between 31 and 36 degrees Celsius nationwide, with the most intense heat likely in southern and southeastern regions. For most of the day, the weather will remain clear or slightly cloudy and dry, but severe changes are expected by evening.

Both HungaroMet and Telex have reported a Level 1 (yellow) weather warning.

Some thunderstorms could be accompanied by damaging wind gusts reaching up to 80 km/h, and hailstones up to 2 cm in diameter are also possible. Although precipitation is less likely in the southern counties, most of the country will feel the effects of this weather shift.
