Massive upgrade to Hungary’s sports scene: Premium Canadian athletic wear brand lands in 2026!

Lululemon, the premium Canadian athletic wear brand, is set to make its debut in Hungary in 2026, marking a significant step in its aggressive European expansion.
The brand is planning to enter six new markets next year, a record for the brand, including Greece, Austria, Poland, Romania, India and, of course, Hungary. In Central and Eastern Europe, lululemon will partner with the Arion Retail Group to open its first stores, building on recent franchise successes in Italy, Denmark, Turkey, and Belgium.
A premium arrival for active lifestyles
Founded in 1998 with a focus on yoga pants, lululemon has evolved into a global powerhouse offering high-performance apparel, footwear, and accessories for yoga, running, training, tennis, golf, and more. The brand, listed on NASDAQ as LULU, now operates in over 30 markets worldwide and emphasises innovative fabrics and community-driven experiences, according to FinancialContent.
Hungarian customers won’t have to wait for physical stores to shop: from next year, the full product range will be available online via lululemon.eu, Telex reports. Exact store locations and opening dates remain under wraps, with further details expected in 2026.

Community and growth focus
Sarah Clark, lululemon’s Senior Vice President for EMEA, highlighted the excitement: “Each of these markets offers exciting potential for our brand, and we look forward to working with our franchise partners to introduce our innovative products and engaging guest experiences to more consumers in these regions.”
The expansion shows lululemon’s commitment to building local communities through ambassador networks and wellbeing events, aligning with its holistic approach to physical, mental, and social health. For Hungary, this could tap into a rising fitness culture amid growing interest in premium activewear.
