Hungary surpasses 43,500 pandemic deaths
Altogether 132 patients died of a Covid-related illness over the past 24 hours, while 6,286 new coronavirus infections were registered, koronavirus.gov.hu said on Wednesday.
So far 6,390,100 people have received a first jab, while 6,159,543 have been double-jabbed. Fully 3,794,636 Hungarians have received a booster shot.
The number of active infections stands at 178,730, while
hospitals are treating 4,463 Covid-19 patients, 170 of whom are intubated on a ventilator.
Since the first outbreak, 1,769,164 have been registered with the virus, while
43,562 deaths have been recorded.
Fully 1,546,872 people have made a recovery.
