Hungary-Taiwan working holiday pact close
Hungary may soon become the fifth country in Europe to sign a working holiday visa agreement with Taiwan, as the two countries have entered the final stage of negotiations for the pact, a Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) official said this week, Taipei reports.
The deal could be signed by the end of this year, said Zhang Ming-zhong, director-general of the ministry’s Department of European Affairs.
Taipei underlined, under the agreement, Taiwan and Hungary would allow 100 young people between 18 and 35 years old to travel and work in each other’s territory for a set period of time each year, Zhang told a regular news briefing on this week.
