Hungary goes against the EU again: FM Szijjártó vows to vote against new tariff

Hungary will vote against the European Commission’s proposal to impose new tariffs on ferro-alloy imports, Hungarian Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó said Friday.
Szijjártó to vote against another tariff
“Brussels just cannot calm down. The EU Commission now wants to impose new tariffs again, this time on ferro-alloy imports. This will trigger another wave of price increases because these raw materials are used across many industrial sectors,” Szijjártó wrote on the US social media platform X.
Ferro-alloys are essential in steelmaking and other strategic industrial production. The minister said he held a phone call earlier in the day with Norway’s Trade Minister Cecilie Myrseth and reiterated Hungary’s rejection of the measure ahead of the vote, Anadolu, the Turkish news agency, wrote.
Von der Leyen “unfit for job”
“Tariffs and sanctions have already caused enormous damage to the European economy and we certainly do not need more of them,” he said.
Szijjártó also directed criticism at the European Commission and its president, Ursula von der Leyen, saying they are “unfit for their job” and asserting that “it is time for a change in Brussels.”
The European Commission’s proposal on ferro-alloy tariffs is expected to be discussed by member states later on Friday.

It really boggles the mind. Who the hell is running the E.U.!?!? Their actions cannot be waved off as mere incompetence because that incompetence is simply too enormous for it to be the whole story. It MUST be deliberate.
The E.U. is importing most everything, including GARLIC FROM CHINA!!!, while simultaneously making life extraordinarily difficult for European farmers. The E.U. is effectively killing off the European agricultural sector. Deindustrialization of Europe, meanwhile, is proceeding apace, to the point that Europe is producing next to nothing anymore, while everything under the sun is regulated to death.
And now, the E.U. is imposing tariffs on raw materials, which will make things harder for the few remaining factories here.
What is WRONG with these people?????
We know exactly who are “unfit for their job” and they will be out of government in April. Hungarians are slowly realizing that Fidesz is a huge impediment to Hungarian prosperity.
