Hungary’s Balázs Farkas is the 2016 IMET PSA Squash Open’s runner-up
Hungarian Squash player Balázs Farkas managed to qualify to the final at the 2016 IMET PSA Squash Open, where he lost to Jordan’s Mohamed Al-Sarraj by 3-0 (11-4/11-3/11-7).
The championship took place in Bratislava (Pozsony), Slovakia, and concluded its events on the 18th of December.
Although Balázs did not win the championship’s title, he did a great job by securing the second place, an achievement that enabled him to be the championship’s runner-up.
Balázs qualified to the final after he won against Spain’s Bernat Jaume, at the semifinals, by 3-2 (9-11/11-5/11-8/10-12/11-8).
The quarterfinal’s match was an easy win for Balázs, as he beat England’s Chris Fuller, by 3-0 (11-8/11-7/11-4).
Also Balázs managed to win England’s Richard Williams by 3-0 (11-4/11-8/12-10), at the second round.
The first round was a bright opening for the Hungarian champion, as he defeated Dutch Piëdro Schweertman, by 3-0 (11-2/11-4/11-1).
