Hungary’s first victim help centre opens in central Budapest
Hungary’s first victim help centre opened in Wesselényi street in Budapest’s 7th district with a celebratory event attended by Justice Minister László Trócsányi.
The centre’s mission is to offer personalised help to all victims, he said. Help will be offered by way of providing protection, information about victims’s rights and possibilities and psychological support, he added.
The centre’s activities will be based on criminal law but the focus will not be on criminal law, as demonstrated by the fact that the 12 staff include legal experts, psychologists and teachers, he said.
