Hungary’s Formula 1 circuit gets a grand makeover – PHOTOS

The renovation and refurbishment of the Hungaroring, Hungary’s Formula 1 circuit, is progressing ahead of schedule, allowing ticket sales to begin on Monday for additional sectors in the new main grandstand.
Hungary’s Formula 1 circuit: renewable buildings
Zsolt Gyulay, President and CEO of Hungaroring Sport Plc. said that a full house is expected for the 40th Formula 1 Lenovo Hungarian Grand Prix and that the main building and the main grandstand will be fully renewed after almost four decades, which will allow more people to watch the race in better conditions.
More than 1000 people are working daily to make the Hungaroring shine in all its glory. As for the main building, Gyulay said that the structural work was completed at the end of February, and the basements and the first floor are already being covered. On the ground floor, the boxes are in varying stages of completion – the more advanced ones have garage doors installed, mechanical and electrical installations are advanced, and partitioning grids are in place. Interestingly, and a key feature of the skyline, only 2 of the 12 towers are still standing. They will be demolished by the end of March.

The new main roof truss has been built. The roof is also being covered from above, and the cladding support frame and cladding are being built from below. The grandstand’s prefabricated structure is completely finished, the stair elements are almost all in place, and only the chairs will have to be installed.

The exterior of the building will look completely finished for the 2025 Hungarian Grand Prix, but for the time being, only the pits and the first floor will be used as intended, with the media centre and race control located on a temporary site. The circuit will be fully completed for the 2026 Hungarian Grand Prix—from next year, it will be the country’s largest sports facility and the country’s largest event venue.

Mansell’s Corner
For the 40th anniversary Grand Prix, the fourth corner of the Hungaroring, known as Mansell’s Corner, will be named after the 1989 Hungarian Grand Prix winner. This year’s Hungarian Formula 1 Grand Prix will take place in 130 days on 3 August. Details here: Hungaroring to host its 40th Formula 1 race this summer
They should also fix the roads around the circuit. It is embarrassing the state of the roads.
