Hungary’s parliament sends condolences over murdered British MP
Budapest, June 20 (MTI) – On behalf of the Hungarian Parliament, László Kövér, its speaker, expressed condolences over the death of Jo Cox, the British MP who was murdered last week.
“On behalf of myself and all members of the Hungarian Parliament, I extend my heartfelt solidarity to Parliament’s Lower House,” Kövér wrote in a telegram addressed to his counterpart John Bercow. He condemned the “outrageous and incomprehensible violent crime” which claimed the MP’s life.
Jo Cox, 41, a Labour MP, was attacked outside her constituency surgery in Birstall, in the north of England.
