Iron Maiden to give concert in Budapest next year
The Legacy of the Beast Tour’s last leg visits the Hungarian capital, Budapest in the summer of 2021, on June 9 in the Groupama Arena.
Turizmus reported that the Legacy of the Beast Show is the most successful concert show of the British Band with a record number of 2 million attended fans. Last year, the show welcomed 100,000 viewers only at the Rock in Rio Festival.
The closing European leg of the tour hopefully starts in June 2021 in Basel and, besides Budapest,will also visit Zagreb, Warsaw, Bremen, Berlin, Paris, and many other cities on the continent.
Out of the thirteen shows Iron Maiden has performed in Hungary the last one was the 2018 VOLT Festival in Sopron. The first one in 1984 was the Powerslave Tour and attracted nearly 50,000 Hungarian Iron Maiden lovers. The band was formed in 1975 and became the most successful and well-known band between 1982 and 1986. After a few changes and set back in their career the band returned in the late 90s and has been unbeatable ever since. The last studio album of the band was released in 2015 with the title The Book of Souls.
Bruce Dickinson, the leader of the band, visited Budapest last November with a special performance at the Budapest Congress Centre and told stories about his life and career.
