Jobbik reaffirms will only vote for amendment if residency bonds scrapped
Budapest, November 6 (MTI) – Opposition Jobbik will only vote for the government’s constitutional amendment bill on Tuesday if it agrees to “close every loophole” to every “rich migrant”, the party’s deputy chief, Daniel Z Kárpát, told MTI.
The residency bonds must be abolished since even Islamic State jihadists would be able to find themselves in Hungary with their stolen millions of dollars, Z Kárpát said, adding that the residency bond scheme posed a threat to national security.
Whereas the ruling alliance had allowed a review of the scheme to be floated, in reality this was not happening, he said, claiming that a mediatory company had been set up in Iraq in connection with the programme, as well as a company registered in Cyprus and one in the Seychelles.
