Hungary 55th in latest FIFA men’s rankings
Belgium leads the rankings with World Cup winners France just one point behind them in second place. Hungary is in 55th spot ahead of their November fixtures against Finland and Estonia in Budapest.
The International Football Association (FIFA) released its new men’s ranking list following the latest international fixtures in October, during which period Hungary lost 1-0 away to Greece and drew 3-3 away in Estonia, results which mean Marco Rossi’s side slip six places from 49th to 55th in the overall international table.
In first place, is World Cup bronze-medallist Belgium, who lead France by one point with Brazil in third spot and Germany back in 14th position.
Hungary’s Nations League group rivals, Greece stay in 42nd position, Finland jump two places to 56th and Estonia lie in 98th place.
According to FIFA’s points system, teams win or lose rankings points after every match, so Hungarian position can easily change after
next two Nations League fixtures in November, both of which come at home in the Groupama Aréna, firstly against Estonia on 15th November and then against Finland on 18th November.
