A spectacular visual experience awaits visitors after dark at the Zsolnay Cultural Quarter in Pécs, spanning 6,000 square metres. The project, named Fények elvarázsolt erdeje (“The Enchanted Forest of Lights”), forms part of the Decoled Story of Lights exhibition series and will be showcased across the courtyards and squares of the cultural quarter. A unique feature of this exhibition is that the iconic 30-metre-tall chimney of the Zsolnay factory will also be bathed in light, while visitors can admire programmable light artworks created with smart LED technology.

First-time hosting of the Story of Lights exhibition in Pécs
For the first time, the Zsolnay Cultural Quarter in Pécs is hosting the Story of Lights exhibition series, where visitors can explore a light tunnel, forest animals, fairy-tale figures and façade projections.

The project was constructed by a team of twelve workers in roughly a week, amounting to approximately 900 hours of labour. More than twenty specialists contributed to planning and logistics. The installation has been thoughtfully designed to highlight Pécs’s distinctive character: the factory chimney’s peak has been decorated using classic Alpine lighting techniques, and visitors can marvel at vibrant light designs created using “Twinkly” smart LED technology.
