March 15 – Police detain one for rowdy behaviour during commemorations
Budapest, March 15 (MTI) – The national police have detained a man for rowdy behaviour during official celebrations of the March 15 national holiday in front of the National Museum.
The police declined to publish any further details, but a fight has also been reported from the event. A man suffered an injury in his face while another was seen to attack a journalist making video footage of the celebrations.
During speeches by Prime Minister Viktor Orban and Budapest Mayor Istvan Tarlos, some in the crowd blew whistles and chanted anti-government slogans.
