Margó Literary Festival Between 11th And 15th Of June
Readings, concerts and special programs will be held in the Margó Literary Festival in Budapest between 11th and 15th of June.
According to kulturpart.hu, the festival will takes place in the Petőfi Museum of Literature but several parts of the city are also included, thus the audience could meet famous and well-known artists such as János Háy, András Lovasi and Zsuzsa Rakovszky.
Many concerts and readings are included in the programs , moreover, the audience will get the chance to meet poets, musicians and even writers in a brand new context. During the concert of Zoltán Beck (30Y band) and the program event of János Háy writer , literature will be mixed with pop culture, dance and music as well as during the programs of Dés and Grecsó brothers.
The main event of the festival will be the Night of the Literature where 21 writers will present their works and books in seven unusual and popular venues on the evening of 14th June. From the beginning, the street poetry will also be involved in the festival, thus the best of the slam poetry genre will be represented as well. Interestingly, the new book volume called Slam.pont – which is about the Hungarian history and artists of street poetry – will be published during the festival.
Zsuzsa Rakovszky, the Hungarian writer will publish her new novel called Szilánkok at the Margó Literary Festival. Her novel summarizes the history of the 20th century of Hungary, while András Lovasi, Hungarian musician, composer and singer will give a special performance as part of the Hangzó Helikon program series. During his performance he will sing the poems of the noted poet and literary translator,János Lackfi.
Furthermore, Péter Boldizsár, the graduate student of the Moholy-Nagy University of Art (MOME) will also participate in the festival. This boy has recently became famous on Youtube by mixing the famous film clips with the recitations of well-known Hungarian poems. In this program the internet success of the story will be put into a literary perspective.
