Mátraszentistván Ski Park inaugurates EUR 1.9m chairlift
The Mátraszentistván Ski Park inaugurated a 600 million forint (EUR 1.9m) chairlift, the first one built in Hungary in decades, on Wednesday.
The chairlift was constructed as part of a 850 million forint development project at the park which included the purchase of three snow makers and a snow groomer, said managing director Péter Kőrösi.
The government awarded the project a 150 million forint grant, said commissioner for cycling and active recreation Máriusz Révész.
The 500m chairlift can carry 2,200 people an hour.
