New conditions for obtaining a driver’s licence
From now on, one can take the theory part of a driving test (KRESZ) 3 months before their 17. birthday, and they can take the practical test at the age of 17 – these are the conditions for getting a driver’s licence for car.
However, some conditions were aggravated in the last month. The most important changes are noted beneath. The conditions were last modified in August- according to the last regulation, one must apply for the theory test 9 months after starting the theory course, and must complete it in a year from that exact date.
According to a professional portal called Tanulóvezető.eu, the regulation passed in January and valid from February also states that the 9 month deadline doesn’t concern the application only. One must take the first exam 9 months after they start the course- noted Origo.
This was passed without informing the public widely. If the deadline expires, one must take the whole course again as it will be no longer valid.
While the deadline conditions were aggravated, applying for the course became easier: it is now possible to apply without a doctor’s approval and an elementary school certificate – a simple declaration will do.
According to the information from Origo, August, applicants must get through a determined time and distance before taking the road test, which means driving 30 hours and 580 kilometres in the case of category B.
Other than that, economic and environment friendly factors must be taken into consideration, which means that the examiner carefully monitors braking, the timing of gear-changing, the manner of acceleration and tachometry.
