New hybrid hotel to open in Budapest!
In mid-August, the hotel chain a&o Hotels&Hostels will open its first hybrid hotel in Budapest.
The first hybrid hotel of a&o Budapest City will open its doors in Budapest’s 6th district, at the corner of Csengery and Dob street, providing 114 rooms and 408 beds in the former building of the Hungarian Card Factory. According to the sales manager of the company, Daniella Köves:Â
it is not surprising that the German hotel chain chose Budapest, as the Hungarian capital has an extremely colourful cultural, gastronomic and vivid nightlife in every season.
As turizmus.com reports, the company operates a total of 39 hotels in Europe, making it the largest hybrid hotel chain in Europe. The term hybrid also includes the possibility of hotel and hostel accommodation categories: in addition to comfortable double rooms, it also offers family rooms with 4 and 6 beds, which have a private bathroom.
Due to the current situation, the entire staff is prepared for contactless reception, so guests can check in conveniently and securely at a new type of self-service check-in desk.
The aim of their recent campaign Save Your Holiday is to address Hungarian families and invite rural people to the Hungarian capital. The first guests of the Budapest hybrid hotel will be families and excursionists, but they would like to target business travellers and senior visitors as well. They also consider Erasmus scholarship students as a target group, for whom rooms will be provided for long term, with favourable conditions.
