New motorway sections become toll roads, planning of new road near Lake Balaton announced

As of 8 June, new motorway sections in Hungary have become toll roads. Hungary’s Ministry of Construction and Transport has also announced a public procurement procedure for the planning of the continuation of the M76 road between Fenékpuszta and Keszthely, near Lake Balaton.
New motorway sections become toll roads
According to infostart.hu, the entire M44 expressway section between the Pest County M44/Kecskemét-North junction and the 30-Lakitelek/Tiszakécske junction became a toll road on 8 June. The same applies to the M85 motorway section from the Győr West junction to the border at Sopron (Route 94).

Ministry announces planning of new road section near Lake Balaton
Hungary’s Construction and Transport Ministry launched a public procurement procedure for planning the continuation of the M76 road between Fenékpuszta and Keszthely, near Lake Balaton. According to the announcement published in the EU Public Procurement Bulletin, the ministry is inviting bids for various planning tasks, including a preliminary route study, environmental impact assessment, and preparation of permit and detailed design plans for the new road and related infrastructure. The road is expected to stretch approximately 7 kilometres.
