The Buda Castle Funicular, originally named Budai Hegypálya, began its operations 155 years ago in 1870. This historic transport system has undergone several modernisations over the past century and a half. The funicular’s lower station at Clark Ádám Square is easily accessible by a short walk from BKV’s Várkert Bazár dock.

BKV circular boat services

Since the summer of 2024, BKV’s circular boat services have been operating between Kossuth Lajos Square and Petőfi Square. These boat trips offer a unique perspective of Budapest’s city center, showcasing the capital’s magnificent sights, historical locations, and some outstanding architectural creations.
