Coronavirus – Hungary readies own Covid-19 testing kit
Hungary has finished developing a prototype of its own Covid-19 testing kit that will be “significantly more precise” than any of the rapid tests currently in use, the human resources minister said on Thursday.
The new Covid-19 test requires a blood test and the result is available within a few hours.
Production of the testing kits will begin within a few weeks.

By developing the testing kit, Hungary has also found a method that can serve as a basis for the development of a novel coronavirus vaccine, Miklós Kásler told a press conference.
CecÃlia Müller, the chief medical officer, told the same press conference that after successfully isolating and reproducing the novel coronavirus, virologists were now examining its genetic makeup in an effort to identify the strains that have been spreading in Hungary.
