GE to invest EUR 9.2m to expand digital development centres in Hungary
GE will invest 3.3 billion forints (EUR 9.2m) to expand its digital development centres in Budapest and in Szeged, in southern Hungary, the minister of foreign affairs and trade said on Thursday.
The government is supporting the investment, which will create 45 positions for engineers, with a 675 million forint grant, Péter Szijjártó told a press conference.
Endre Ascsillan, GE Global’s CEE VP, said GE Healthcare would launch a new research project with the investment, focusing on artificial intelligence-based solutions for global markets.
