Hungarian foreign minister in consultation with EU counterparts on Belarus situation
Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto consulted European Union foreign policy chief Josep Borrell and German Foreign Minister Heiko Maas on the situation in Minsk.
The European political public remains concerned about the situation in Minsk, Szijjarto said on Facebook late on Sunday after the phone talks. He expressed hope that reassuring solutions would be found as soon as possible, based on dialogue and reflecting the European Union’s shared position.
The issue will be on the agenda of the next meeting of EU foreign ministers on August 27 and 28 in Berlin, Szijjarto noted.
