Hungary’s industrial output growing
Hungarian industrial output in December grew by an annual 5.8 percent, the Central Statistical Office (KSH) said on Friday. Adjusted for the number of working days, output increased by 3.6 percent.
Month on month, output edged down by 0.1 percent, based on seasonally and working day-adjusted data. Output of automotive manufacturing, the biggest segment of Hungary’s industrial sector, fell by 19.8 percent. Output of the computer, electronics and optical equipment segment grew by an annual 14.8 percent, while that of food, drinks and tobacco grew by 14.2 percent.
