Sindhi Culture Day 2019 celebrated in Budapest for the first time
Every year, first Sunday of December is being celebrated as Sindhi Culture Day around the globe. This day is celebrated by Sindhis living in every corner of the world. It was the first time in Budapest, when Sindhi people showcased their fascinating, peaceful and rich culture. The event took place on Saturday, 7th December 2019 at Goliat Hotel Budapest.
This event was attended by a huge number of students from different European, Middle Eastern and Asian countries. The event provided a glimpse of Sindhi culture, their dresses, food and history.
The participation of Hungarian singer Katalin Burns made it more worth and diverse. She sang a famous Waai of reknown Sindhi poet Shaikh Ayaz.
Sindh is the land of one of the oldest civilizations of the world known as Indus Valley Civilization; it was a Bronze Age civilization in the northwestern regions of South Asia, lasting from 3300 BCE to 1300 BCE. Now Sindh is part of Pakistan and most of the Sindhis live in Pakistan, India and other countries around the world.
Speaking to Daily News Hungary, the event organizers, Sam Sindhi, Karan Kumar, Faisal Hussain, Jamal Alam, Munesh Kumar, Jawad Hyder, Asif Aziz and others told that Sindh is the land of love and peace and they thanked the Hungarian people and Government to provide them such environment for showcasing their culture.
