Night of Museums to offer over 100 programmes in Székesfehervár, Hungary!
Székesfehervár, a one-time seat of kings, will offer over 100 programmes at 24 venues on the Night of Museums on 24 June, the city’s officials said on Thursday.
The Night of Museums has become one of the city’s most important cultural events, attracting some 50,000 visitors in the past 15 years, Antal Spányi, the county bishop, told a press conference. He said the proceeds made on the sale of entry armbands will be spent on taking Ukrainian refugee children to local museums.
According to the press material, the Saint Stephen’s Royal Museum will offer film screenings, concerts, interactive games and art workshops for youth at nine venues. The Kovács Jenő Museum of Watches will present a unique collection of pocket watches and in the local county archives an exhibition will show László Kóger’s collection of radio sets. In the MMKM Aluminum Industry Museum, visitors can see an exhibition on world-renowned Hungarian-born mathematician John von Neumann.
