One migrant killed in smuggler’s car after motorway accident
Budapest, September 3 (MTI) – A Hungarian national suspected of human smuggling was arrested after his car ran into the protective barrier on motorway M5, killing one of the migrants travelling in the car.
The accident happened near Lajosmizse on motorway M5 on Thursday morning. The other two migrants were hospitalised.
The driver ran away from the site of the accident but police apprehended him shortly after, spokeswoman for the local county police, told MTI. The car was bound for Budapest with three people thought to be illegal migrants inside, Edina Arvai said.
