Opposition Hungarian party wants to ban the World Press Photo 2023 exhibition because of LGBTQ propaganda

Opposition Mi Hazánk will submit a bill prompted by “the LGBTQ propaganda” promoted in an exhibition in the Hungarian National Museum, the deputy leader of the party said on Friday.

Speaking at a press conference, Dóra Dúró criticised the museum for hosting the World Press Photo 2023 exhibition which presents “violence against the LGBTQ+- minority and a beauty contest and talent show in a gay elderly home” among the top stories of last year. “In the photo series showing the elderly home, the tasteless propaganda promoting gender change has also appeared,” said Dúró.

Mi Hazánk initiates that provisions of the child protection law that ban access to such content by those aged younger than 18 should apply to cultural institutions run or supported by the state, she said.

The party will also turn to the minister in charge of culture in the matter, Dúró added.

As we wrote before, books are wrapped in transparent foil in Hungary because of the anti-gay law, details HERE.

  1. Opposition acting like an ostrich. Reality cannot be ignored. Not all LGBT+ members are criminals. There is always at least one rotten apple in a barrel. This is obvious in political live, like Dora Duro.
