Opposition parties slammed Orbán over his Băile Tușnad speech
Hungarian opposition parties on Saturday slammed Prime Minister Viktor Orbán over his speech at the 31st summer university in Baile Tusnad (Tusnádfürdő), in central Romania.
In a statement, the leftist Democratic Coalition said: “It is not advice that an ill person needs, but medicine.” Liberal Momentum accused Orbán of “pitting people against each other” when he “should be concerned with the livelihoods of the Hungarian people and the social crisis plagueing our country”. Last week it “became clear to everyone that the prime minister has long built his policies on lies while staying silent on the true economic situation in Hungary”, Momentum said in a statement. “His ‘Tusványos’ speech today was no different as he incited against our allies but made no mention of those affected by the changes to the small business tax rules or rising utility costs,” the party added.
The Socialists said that after 12 years in power, “Orbán’s only vision for the country” was that “we are waiting for 2030 not because Hungary will catch up with the West by then, but because the West will fall apart in exactly eight years”. In a statement, they said that in his speech, Orbán had made sure “not to admit that his government’s flawed policies are the reason why Hungary is severely affected by the economic and cost-of-living crisis”. The Orbán government has made Hungary “the second most corrupt country in the European Union”, the party said, adding that inflation was “brutal” and that the government was to blame for the delay in the payouts of EU funds to Hungary.

Péter Ungár, group leader of green LMP, said he was “surprised to hear” the prime minister criticise multinational companies over their excessive profits resulting from the war. “This begs the question: If he has a problem with this, then why is he defending with all his might the international corporations that pay no taxes in Hungary?” Ungár said on Facebook.
He said LMP welcomed Orbán’s stance that Hungary must end its dependence on gas.
“Better late than never, but if the prime minister hadn’t been doing the exact opposite of this over the last ten years, we’d be in less trouble right now,” he added.

Orban is corrupt an a follower of the war criminal Putin. This truth cannot be denied.
What makes for a successful nation? It is not an easy answer. 1. Countries inhabited by one ethnic group and have a common language, history and most importantly common culture are successful. Members of homogeneous countries also have love of country in common. 2. Countries inhabited by different ethnic tribes but have common history, religion and similar culture can also work. In this case the incoming ethnic group usually assimilates, have common goals and love of new homeland. A great example is the USA, from 1900 to early 2010s. When emigrants and refugees stepped on American soil, they became American. They accepted the culture and strongly supported the successful capitalist system. This was different in the UK, immigrants and refugees settling in the UK will always be foreigners. Canadians first question from someone with different looks, food or accent is “where did you come from”. Migrants in these cases will never be accepted as citizens even though they have obtained citizenship.
Around 2010 and after, many refugees, migrants and illegal migrants arrived in the EU from the Middle East and Africa. These people have different language, history and most importantly different cultures. These new groups did not assimilate. They retained their culture and had and have a difficult time learning the language. One thing is also important to note, the education standard of the new migrants was way below EU or American standards. this was mostly apparent in women. The new migrants consisted mostly of young man. Taken out of their culture and the lack of female relationships, they did not and do not respect western women and often vigorously attacked them. A large number of these migrants were unemployable and to this date are supported by taxpayers.
The US was luckier. Many migrants arrived from Cuba, and Venezuela, escaping communism. These people, like those before, became
pro Americans. However, many migrants came from lawless Central America. These migrants are certainly not an asset. Some migrants from Somalia and other African countries became enamored with socialism. This polarized the population. Refugees arrived from Ukraine. These people were welcomed and embraced by the EU. A resentment aroused from migrants from the Middle East and Africa. African migrants in France attacked shelters set up for Ukrainian women and children. The difference between the economic refugees from the Middle East and Africa is that there is a war in Ukraine, these people have the same religion and culture. Most Ukrainian refugees want to return home.
Whether Mr. Orban will be proven right or wrong will depend on the assimilation process. If migrants and illegal migrants will form tribes, no go zones and not meld into culture of their new home, a nations will not have support for common goals nor will have a population that will give unconditional support and love to their new homeland. In that case Mr. Orban will be proven right.
