PM Orbán: Hungary and the USA want to save the West
Talks and meetings between US and Hungarian leaders could be considered as “part of normal life” considering that the US and Hungary are involved in the same fight for civilisation in order to save the West, the Hungarian prime minister said at a joint press conference with North Macedonia counterpart Hristijan Mickoski on Tuesday.
Patriots in a winning streak, Orbán believes
Viktor Orbán said after a Hungary-North Macedonia governmental summit in Budapest that talks held between Hungary’s prime minister and the US president should not considered to be news anymore because “that’s what generally happens when it becomes necessary”. He added that it similarly had no special news value if the Hungarian foreign minister met his US counterpart.
Cooperation between them is not simply based on tactical or economic interests, but has deeper foundation: “we are involved in a fight for civilisation, with progressives on one side and patriots on the other”.
Orbán said that ever since the patriots had won in the US and attempts of destabilisation had strengthened in central Europe, with Serbia, Slovakia and Hungary being targeted. The global financial and political “machinery” that had previously occupied the US government, Brussels and a few European member states had to be “pushed out” from Hungary, Orban said, adding that he was planning to complete the last battles with the Soros network by Easter.
EU enlargement key to boosting competitiveness, Orbán said
Enlargement is the only way to improve the European Union’s competitiveness, PM Orbán told a press conference after a joint Hungary-North Macedonia cabinet meeting in Budapest on Tuesday. Hungary supports North Macedonia’s EU integration because, among other things, the EU must improve its competitiveness, he said, insisting that there was nothing within the EU itself that could help the bloc to achieve that aim.
He said all enlargements, however, had brought about an increase in competitiveness, including in Hungary. Orbán said the joint cabinet meeting reviewed bilateral ties, too, noting that bilateral trade between Hungary and North Macedonia has grown seven-fold since 2010.

The headline is lying disinformation from Orban. Trump has attacked all of the closest western allies of the US while making concessions to murderous dictator Putin. This is the greatest crisis we have seen in the western world in generations. Trump has threatened to annex Canada, Greenland and the Panama canal. He has declared economic war on Canada and Mexico and the EU will come next. Trump is single handedly destroying all trust between western nations and the US and that trust may never be fully regained again. He is creating division in the West to the delight of Russia which will exploit this. He has even directed US security agencies to stop work countering Russian cyberwarfare. The Trump presidency is a disaster for us all..
