OTP turns to Constitutional Court over ATM act

OTP Bank, along with several other credit institutions, filed a constitutional complaint with the Constitutional Court, asking the court to declare unconstitutional certain provisions of Act XVIII/2025 on the installation of automated banknote dispensing machines and other related regulations, the bank said on Monday.
OTP said the obligation to instal ATMs and the distribution of the machines prescribed by the ATM act and other related regulations is economically unjustified and disproportionately restricts the applicant credit institutions’ fundamental rights to conduct business and to property, and interferes in market processes in a discriminatory manner.
