WING completed ibis Styles Budapest Airport Hotel five years ago, and it is operated by WING and Accor hotels. The hotel has now received another award. The Best of Budapest & Hungary 2022 Award in the best 3-star hotels category is the latest addition to a long list of awards for the hotel. This is the third award that the 145-room, 5,200 square meter hotel with significant conference and catering capacities has won this year.
ibis Styles Budapest Airport Hotel was presented with the Best of Budapest & Hungary Award, established 27 years ago by Budapest Week Publishing, in the Best 3-star hotels category. Recipients are selected through a public vote.
”We are proud of this award: it is great feedback from the professional community and a celebration of the success of the past five years since ibis Styles Budapest Airport Hotel opened in January 2018. The development filled a gap in the Hungarian tourism market: we built a hotel with direct access to the terminal and it has been profitable and very popular ever since,”
said Dr. Ernő Takács, WING’s Deputy CEO for hotels and retail projects.
In the spring, ibis Styles Budapest Airport Hotel won the Greenairport Partner of the Year Award at Budapest Airport’s annual gala dinner, in recognition of its environmentally friendly construction and operation. The Hungarian Hotel and & Restaurant Association (MSZÉSZ) also recognised ibis Styles Budapest Airport Hotel, giving it the Hotel of the Year 2022 Award as the best three-star hotel in the country.
