PHOTOS: BMW factory under construction in Debrecen, Hungary
The Hungarian News Agency, MTI, published fresh photos of the BMW factory under construction in Debrecen on Friday.
The pictures show huge cranes towering over the plant, which is slowly taking shape. A section of a nearby road can also be seen – with a BMW on it, of course – and a signboard with a plan of the factory, haon.hu reports.
Production to start in 2025, with 1,000 new jobs
The BMW Group is building a car plant on 400 hectares of land, which will be capable of producing around 150,000 cars a year. Production will start in 2025. The founding member of the Neue Klasse generation of models based on the NCAR architecture developed for pure electric models will be built here. The investment of around HUF 400 billion (EUR 1 billion) will create more than 1,000 new jobs in the city, the portal writes.
