PHOTOS: Centuries-old church near Budapest renovated
The 300 year-old Catholic church of Tárnok, near Budapest, has been renovated in cooperation with the government, the Hungarian Catholic Church, the Diocese of Székesfehérvár and the Slovak Self-Government of Tárnok, the state secretary for church and minority relations said on Sunday.
Miklós Soltész said after a mass of thanksgiving at the church that the cost of the renovation totalled over 55 million forints (EUR 144,000). The mass was celebrated by Antal Spányi, the bishop of Székesfehérvár.
