PHOTOS: Major European hotel brand opens first Budapest hotel
Budapest, the Hungarian capital, boasts a number of luxurious hotels and accomodation for all budgets. This time, a 4-star hotel is opening its doors in the Central European city. TRIBE, one of Accor’s fastest growing hotel brands in Europe, opens its first hotel in Budapest. The newly built, dual-branded hotel with the ibis brand will be located in the Liberty, a unique multifunctional project by WING.

The ibis & TRIBE Budapest Stadium offers 332 hotel rooms – which are equally divided between the two brands –, various F&B (food and beverage) services and a complex with conference and fitness facilities, turizmus.com reports.
Under the terms of the management agreement between Accor and WING, Central Europe’s leading real estate development and investment group, the dual-branded TRIBE and ibis hotel will be owned by WING and operated by Accor.
The hotel is also the premiere of TRIBE on the Hungarian market, with 166 rooms combining maximum comfort and state-of-the-art technology. The concept features a vibrant community space on the lower level, with a cosy lobby and a lounge that doubles as a business corner in the centre.
The hotel also offers an all-day à la carte restaurant, a fitness room, underground parking and accessible rooms. Its conference centre can accommodate up to 200 people and is available in four separate sections with a multifunctional event hall. In spring, a Sky Bar will open on the roof of the building.
TRIBE is one of Accor’s fastest growing European brands, enabling guests to live, work and play in contemporary spaces.
The leaders about the new hotel
“We are delighted to launch this unique brand in one of the key markets in Central and Eastern Europe. TRIBE is a modern and urban lifestyle brand that appeals to locals and travellers alike with unique concepts and experiences. We believe that thanks to the collaboration between WING and Accor, the new property will not only be a hotel, but a Budapest destination where guests can experience a brand new hospitality experience,” said Pauline Oster, Vice President, Accor.
“As one of the leading real estate companies in Hungary, WING is committed to delivering projects of high architectural quality that create long-term value. Liberty is a mixed-use development of international standard. Situated halfway between Liszt Ferenc International Airport and the city centre, the Budapest Stadium Hotel, which includes the TRIBE and ibis brands, is located in close proximity to the Groupama Arena, the MVM Dome, the National Athletics Centre, the Palace of Arts and the National Theatre.
We are delighted to further expand our successful partnership with Accor, in addition to the ibis Styles and TRIBE Hotel Budapest Airport. To date, a total of more than 1,000 hotel rooms have been delivered or are under development by WING’s hotel division,” said Noah Steinberg, CEO of WING.
