PM Orbán holds talks with new President Sulyok: here are the topics
Prime Minister Viktor Orbán held talks with President Tamás Sulyok at the presidential office on Wednesday, the Hungarian News Agency, MTI reports.
The prime minister and the head of state plan to hold regular talks to discuss the most important geopolitical issues, European and domestic affairs.
Paramount decisions by the new President
On Tuesday, the new head of state, Tamás Sulyok, took office. He immediately signed the ratification declaration on Sweden’s accession to NATO, which was adopted by Parliament last week after a year and a half of wrangling, Telex reports.
The new head of state has made another important decision. He appointed Attila László Szabó as the new director-general of the Sándor Palace, by a decision published in the Hungarian Gazette on Tuesday evening. In recent years, Szabó has worked as Sulyok’s chief of staff at the Constitutional Court.
