Polish president Andrzej Duda to visit Hungary in mid-March
Warsaw, March 7 (MTI) – Polish President Andrzej Duda and First Lady Agata Kornhauser-Duda are scheduled to make a three-day visit to Hungary beginning on March 17, the Polish president’s office announced on Monday.
The visit will be Duda’s second to Hungary, with the president having taken part in a Visegrad Four summit on migration in October last year.
Duda’s visit will mark the 10th annual Hungarian-Polish Friendship Day held on March 23.
Hungarian-Polish Friendship Day has been observed since 2006, when then President László Sólyom and Lech Kaczynski, his late Polish counterpart, jointly unveiled the first public monument dedicated to friendly relations between the two countries in Győr, western Hungary.
Details about Duda’s visit will be released in the coming days, the president’s office said.
