President welcomes Paris climate agreement
Budapest, December 14 (MTI) – The Hungarian president welcomed it as the greatest achievement of the recent climate summit in Paris that the global community managed to swerve from the road leading to natural disasters caused by climate change, President Janos Ader said on Monday.
All this, however, does not mean that we have achieved “the greatest good”, namely that we have managed to halt global warming, he told a press conference, evaluating the agreement signed during the 21st UN climate conference in Paris.
Ader added, however, that there was no realistic chance for such a breakthrough.
The participants almost unanimously hailed the agreement, which the international media described as a document of historic importance, he said.
