Primark to open its first store in Hungary soon!
It’s been a while since word first got around that the international fast-fashion chain Primark is planning to open a store in Hungary. Now, the chain has announced the opening date of its new store, the first in the country.
Primark is opening in Budapest next month
Primark will open its doors to customers on Tuesday 28 May at 10 AM in the Aréna Mall in Budapest, close to the Keleti railway station, the chain announced.
The more than 3,100-square-metre store will sell women’s, men’s and children’s clothing, as well as home furnishings, beauty products and accessories. The Irish clothing retailer will employ 180 people in Hungary, Telex reports, based on the international fast-fashion chain’s announcement.
The expansion of the international fast-fashion chain
As we wrote at the time, the international fashion chain announced its arrival in Hungary last January. Hungary will become the 6th country in Central and Eastern Europe and the 17th country worldwide to have a Primark store.
Primark has been expanding in the Central European region for several years, opening its first store in Ljubljana, Slovenia, in June 2019, Telex writes. It currently operates 12 stores in Slovenia, Poland, the Czech Republic, Romania and Slovakia. In addition to the Budapest opening, the chain will continue its expansion plans in Central and Eastern Europe.
