Prime Minister’s Office: Govt for broadband internet in every Hungarian household by 2018
(MTI) – The government wants to ensure to have broadband internet in every Hungarian household having by 2018, the head of the prime minister’s office said on Friday.
Speaking at a local forum in the south Hungarian village of Csanadalberti, Janos Lazar said that an increasing number of people were using the internet for paying their bills for instance and telcom equipment were becoming cheaper.
Developing and installing broadband internet was key today for small towns and villages, Lazar said.
The preparation of the programme has started already, he said, adding that its implementation requires hundreds of billions of forints in investment.
