Former government representative and his conspirator are accused with bribery
The Hungarian police ambushed a former government representative of Fidesz and current director of the administrative office of Encs, Ferenc Ódor, in the parking lot of the institution.
At the same time, one of his coworkers was also arrested in a well-known local restaurant, says Index. The Public Prosecutor’s Office accuses them with bribery.
Ódor was taken inside the building in handcuffs.
They are under investigation for bribe-taking while making use of their senior position, announced the main Prosecution Service Office.
According to their announcement, two senior members of the administrative office demanded HUF 4 million (EUR 12000) for office administration.
Following the complaint of the National Protective Office, the main Prosecution Service Office ambushed the suspects – with the help of the police riot squad and the police of Borsod-Abaúj-Zemplén County – who accepted the bribes, then they investigated his home and workplace as well, and seized the money as evidence.
One of the suspects denies committing the criminal act, while his conspirator partly confessed. None of them made any complaints.
