Revenue from tolls, vignettes up HUF 33bn in 2015
Budapest, January 12, 2016 (MTI-ECONEWS) – Revenue from road tolls and motorway vignettes in Hungary came to more than HUF 243bn last year, up by HUF 33bn compared to 2014, toll operator NUSZ said on Tuesday.
HU-GO, Hungary’s toll for trucks and lorries, generated revenue of HUF 185bn in 2015, sales of motorway vignettes came to HUF 57bn.
Revenue from weekly motorway vignettes accounted for 47.9pc of total sales and annual vignettes for 21.8pc. In 2015 8.5m weekly vignettes and 289,000 annual vignettes were sold, both up from 2014.
County-level motorway vignettes usable for a year accounted for 12.7pc of vignette revenue. Out of the 1.3m vignettes sold 810,000 were used in Pest county.
NUSZ operates 18 customer services offices in Hungary and it processed 500,000 customer inquiries in 2015.
