Russia-Hungary talks to start on Wednesday, a day ahead of Putin’s official visit to Budapest
Budapest, January 31 (MTI) – Talks between the delegations of Hungary and Russia will begin on Wednesday, a day ahead of President Vladimir Putin’s official visit to Budapest, the foreign ministry said in a statement on Tuesday.
Péter Szijjártó, the minister of foreign affairs and trade, will receive Veronika Skvortsova, Russia’s health minister, before holding a joint press conference at 4pm. Afterwards, Szijjarto will meet energy giant Rosatom’s head Alexey Likhache.
In the evening, the minister will meet his Russian counterpart, Sergei Lavrov, while on Thursday he will have talks with Denis Manturov, minister of trade and industry.
Putin will arrive in Budapest at around midday, the statement noted.
